The challenge
When the technical setup gets in the way of solid ambition
NICHBA is the Danish design company that breathes architectural purity, simple lines and clean silhouettes. Today, the powder-coated steel furniture has made its mark on the international furniture scene.
However, NICHBA's previous webshop was both unstable and had unreliable tracking. This made it a struggle to understand which marketing initiatives were actually converting visitors. This resulted in wasted marketing dollars.
At the same time, bookkeeping was neither accurate nor automated, which led to unnecessary administrative tasks.
The previous webshop functioned as a single page with various language layers. This setup made it impossible to distinguish whether a newsletter subscriber was in Danish, German or English.
On the old webshop, NICHBA's products were not presented in a way that did them justice. The site lacked respect for the brand and their distinct minimalist expression.
Previously, the company had focused primarily on retailers worldwide, but now the time had come to shift gears and unlock the significant potential waiting online.
Concept and solution
Ditching old systems and implementing new reliable solutions
The first step in the solution for NICHBA was to break away from the previously fused WooCommerce webshop and transition to Shopify, where the webshop was divided into three separate markets.
The inventory was unified across all markets through an IEX integration with e-conomic, and a Klaviyo integration was set up for email marketing and customer engagement.
Throughout the process, ensuring fast performance of all sites was considered, and videos were integrated to enhance the ambiance and give a true expression of the experience of owning a piece of NICHBA furniture.
From a functional perspective, the solution created clarity across categories through a simple and intuitive navigation system. This setup allows visitors to immerse themselves fully in the NICHBA universe.
The solution
Secure migration and optimal customer experience as the start of a continued growth journey
The result has been a migration from the previous WooComerce solution, where we were responsible for redirects, while ensuring that all customers and data were moved over without losing anything
NICHBA now offers 3D files that allow you to see a product in 360 degrees and show it in your own home using AR, making it even easier for visitors to make a purchase decision.
This solution has brought clarity to their three main markets: Denmark, Germany and internationally, and the corresponding languages that subscribers should receive newsletters in. With a stable site and a well-functioning backend setup, NICHBA is now equipped to manage and capitalize on the additional growth they are poised to achieve.
