The challenge
In their search for a partner that dares to challenge and ask questions
ARKK Copenhagen was founded by two friends, Thomas and Kasper back in 2014, who have since then built their business on the vision of creating a sneaker that is comfortable, functional and designed in a way that embraces the Scandinavian tradition of simple design. ARKK Copenhagen is positioned as an ultra strong footwear brand online.
ARKK Copenhagen contacted us at Grafikr in their search for a sharp collaborator for the most essential aspect of their business; ecommerce. The brand had a strong online presence and impressive growth, but Thomas wanted a partner who could help him take his brand to the next level and challenge his thoughts, ideas and initiatives. Thomas was discouraged by having a supplier who did the work without having an opinion on whether it was actually the right decision. Therefore, he wanted a partner who dared to have his “skin in the game” and really immerse themselves in his business as if it were their own.
Naturally, it was an important prerequisite that we could assist ARKK Copenhagen with the necessary knowledge and heavy experience, which we have gained over a long time in collaboration with countless e-commerce companies, so we had a basis for challenging and taking a critical approach.
The solution
Important split tests as a basis for data-driven decisions
In collaboration with Thomas, we have made a CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) agreement where we split test, challenge and implement new initiatives. At the same time, we are deeply involved in the strategy of presenting the products, brand and identity, where decisions, thoughts and ideas are informal and straightforward. No opinion or question is ever sugar-coated, which means we have created a partnership where there is room for critical questions and effective communication.
In the collaboration, it is important that initiatives are made with a clear purpose, one that is concrete and has one or more targets to be measured against. Internally at Grafikr, everyone involved in ARKK Copenhagen's projects has met the founder, Thomas, and gained a sense of his vision and the elements that are important to him in our partnership.
This has created a natural synergy where those involved in the projects can question the task or purpose, which ultimately results in the best possible outcome. This is natural for us, as it already characterizes the way we work.
“I said in my first meeting with Grafikr that we should always have clear targets for the tasks we start, ‘what are we trying to solve and what percentage improvement are we satisfied with’, so that both we and Grafikr can assess whether we are awesome or not. At the same time, this creates a forum where everyone can be critical of either the goal itself or the way it is trying to be solved, because we would all rather reach the goal than fail. I think it creates a community spirit between customer and supplier - we stand and fall together!”

Today, Thomas has insight and is involved to such an extent that he has full transparency with an overview of the stages of the tasks, delivery dates, target goals and what his ROI is on the initiatives we launch.
This means that Thomas knows the exact target every single time he spends a dime. This makes it much easier for him to invest and realize the common goals we are working towards. In other words, he has a partner who takes an exceptionally high level of responsibility, where we commit to specific goals and targets and follow them through to the end. Even when an unexpected event of a challenge, Thomas is involved because we can be straightforward and give him insight.
For Thomas and ARKK Copenhagen, this has resulted in a 13% (at the time of writing) increase in revenue and a partner who works with Thomas to reach the next level in ARKK Copenhagen's adventure.
