Challenge

Not all matches are made in heaven. Dea Kudibal and their old webshop system were living proof of that. Day after day, they had to shut down their computer knowing that their webshop was full of untapped potential.

Here is how we worked together to create such a solid foundation that, just a few months later, they were upgrading to Shopify’s enterprise solution: Shopify Plus.

Dea Kudibal is a premium Danish fashion brand that, since 2003, has differentiated themself from other competitors at the market, with their high quality of silk and print.

But quality is not the only thing Dea Kudibal is passionate about.

They are also dedicated to giving their customers a great experience..

There was just one problem - We spoke to Michaela Ritsing, Online Key Accounts & Process Optimization Specialist at Dea Kudibal.

Just before I went on maternity leave, we switched systems - and when I came back a year later, there had been a lot of technical challenges.

The system had a lot of possibilities, but we were limited by not being able to do it ourselves. We constantly had to bring in and rely on external partners, and despite that, we never quite got the look we wanted.”

To summarize Dea Kudibal's challenges:

  • The system was not very user-friendly.
  • Integrations and plugins did not work.
  • They struggled to achieve the visual design they envisioned.
  • They were always dependent on outside help.

Shopify apps that make life a little easier

Shopify's app solutions are plug and play, so you can pick and choose what works - and you more or less have a feature that works right away.

We can easily add apps that match our needs, which means we've become more self-reliant and can react faster. And it makes a big difference that we finally have a backend that is easy to understand - even in a busy day where things just have to work.

A buying journey that is understandable and inviting

“Our target group sometimes needs a little more help, so it's essential for us to be able to take our customers by the hand and give them a clear and sensible buying experience - but we can see that our customer inquiries have decreased while conversion has increased.

So even though it's all connected and we do a lot of other things, we could immediately see that we got a lot more clicks, and that's a testament to a buying journey and a visual expression that makes sense.

Support and service - also on Sunday evenings

It appealed to us that we could get good support from Shopify, and we grew so fast that in a short time we moved to Shopify+, where there is service and support 24/7. This means that if you have something urgent, you can always get hold of someone.

It also means a lot to us that Grafikr is so accessible. You feel welcomed and you can always get in touch with them and get help. It's a trusted partnership where we can ask anything from simple questions to complex requests.
