Challenge
Camille Brinch sells simple and timeless jewelry with an edge, which she designs in her very own jewelry workshop in the heart of Aarhus. Since 2016, Camille Brinch has sold jewelry via her Instagram and later through a webshop, but since the primary focus naturally lies in the jewelry work, there was a need for a creative partner with technical skills and a sharp understanding of UI/UX.
This is where we come in. Camille Brinch's previous webshop lacked a website that fully reflected the company's DNA, and the freedom to move beyond a standard Shopify template solution, filled with irrelevant apps and scripts that negatively affected the website's overall performance. Shopify offers a lot of exciting possibilities, but if you want to create customized and unique creations, it requires a deeper technical knowledge and understanding of design in Shopify.
Solution
The goal was to create a webshop that did not look like a classic jewelry webshop, but instead matched the brand guidelines and was in line with the feeling that Camille's jewelry universe should reflect. In collaboration with Camille Brinch, we built a new Shopify webshop with a custom theme from scratch, bringing the experience of her jewelry workshop and the informative service of a physical store to the online space.
By focusing on informative and beautiful images and videos, we were able to create a personalized 1:1 experience as you know it from physical jewelry stores and brands. Under each product, the jewelry enthusiast can find a size guide, details about the piece, the thoughts and story behind the jewelry, and style inspiration, all aimed at making it easy and safe to shop jewelry at Camille Brinch.
Results
Today, Camille Brinch has a new website with a fresh new design and unique functionalities that processed 24,000 orders in 2019 alone. The website successfully captures the experience of a physical store online - in terms of both graphic design, technology, and functionality. Camille Brinch is also in a situation where they feel properly equipped for the overseas adventure that hopefully awaits them at the end of 2020. Everything has been designed to be scalable, and we have assisted and consulted with them on parallel deployment, staging environments, tracking, and content scaling via external CMSs.
In addition, we have made the necessary integrations, allowing Camille Brinch to easily review the codes. This means that they only need to use us for more advanced features, while they can facilitate basic additions and elements themselves.

In addition to the new website with a complete redesign, we also contributed to Camille Brinch's successful Black Friday. In just 6 minutes, they managed to turn over 1 million DKK, which is something the brand had never experienced before. The reason was of course the company's brand and marketing, but also the technical elements and integrations that we launched in collaboration with them.
